African Painted Dog Snare Wire Statue

Wolf Haven has partnered with Painted Dog Research (PDR), an organization dedicated to the long term research of African painted dogs. Each of these statues are made by indigenous artisans who used wire that could be used for snares. Wire snares are set by poachers in the African bush to capture prey species for the illegal bushmeat trade. In addition, wire snares are indiscriminate and are just as likely to kill endangered animals, such as painted dogs. 

A portion of each sale will be donated to PDR, supporting conservation research and providing a livelihood for indigenous people in local communities within the regions where painted dogs live.
